'People are afraid' - why 'juggernaut' Arsenal have become the squad everyone fears.

It's clear why Arsenal have become numerous fans' preferred choice to claim the Premier League in the current campaign.

Consider their outcomes against West Ham and Crystal Palace compared to those same matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have defeated all of them during this campaign, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race last season.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's backline resilience is a primary factor why they are looking well positioned to ultimately achieve their title ambition.

They stand first for clean sheets (6), shots let in (3), opposition efforts (72), shots on target faced (19) and anticipated concessions (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is possibly the finest in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Proficiency

Their effectiveness from free kicks is highly documented, but competing clubs still struggle to stop the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals resulting from these situations.

"Arsenal can excel in various aspects now. The whole team has a daunting aura. People are just fearful of them and it is great to see."

Title Claims

What is even more remarkable about Arsenal's commencement to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United away from home and Manchester City at home - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they continue triumphing, their historic competitors are struggling. This marks the premier instance at this juncture of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The expectations was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the beginning, having allocated around £250m on eight summer additions in quest of that coveted first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far proven successful in remarkable manner, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and having the strongest defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Shutouts in each of their last three Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without allowing a goal
  • Only three goals in 12 games across every tournament

Former players and experts have characterized Arteta's men as a "unstoppable force, looking challenging to stop" with the whole club now operating with belief and resolve.
